Overview:

Is Your Favorite Beach Clean?

Do you ever wonder whether the Minnesota beach you’re enjoying on a summer day is clean and safe?

To make it easier for Minnesotans to check the safety of the beaches you enjoy, we’re compiling public beach testing information from cities, counties, and regions across Minnesota. We hope this information will allow Minnesotans to avoid unnecessary health risks and to enjoy clean beaches.

PLEASE NOTE:  Advisories on this site are only from beaches where there is regular monitoring and reporting of results. Unfortunately, most inland beaches in Minnesota are not regularly monitored. Those that are monitored include Hennepin County, Minneapolis, Three Rivers Park District, Saint Paul (Lake Phalen), St. Louis River Access Points, and Lake Superior beaches (data collected by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency). If the beach you are looking for falls under one of those categories it is unlisted because it has been recently tested and found to be safe. If the beach you are looking for is located elsewhere, it may not have been tested. You can contact your local Parks & Recreation or Health Department for further information.
