Many people, such as Patricia, valued the lakes that are still extremely clean and clear.

"I think my favorite lake is Lake George outside of Cambridge because I have a dear friend whose family has lived there for many many years and he says it's the cleanest lake in Minnesota."

-Patricia

Lake George can be found in Anoka County, just outside of the Twin Cities.

For some people, there were too many lakes to limit the answer to one favorite . . .

  Check out the reusable/recyclable cup!!!

"My favorite lakes are all the lakes, especially in the Boundary Waters.  Also, there is a small lake called Little Long right outside of the Twin Cities that is cold and deep and clean and my favorite lake."
-Jay

Little Long Lake can be found near Minnetrista in Hennepin County.

Even though Minnesota cannot solely claim Lake Superior, it is an integral part of Northeastern Minnesota, and Heartsong thought so as well . . .

"
My favorite lake is Lake Superior because you can see the bottom of it, it's clear and beautiful, and every other lake should be like it."
-Heartsong

Lake Superior is bound by Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and our lovely neighbors to the north --- Ontario, Canada.

Many people we ran into discussed the importance of clean water, such as Joe.

"My  favorite lake is Lake Namakan because it has the cleanest water, best fish, and the least people."
-Joe

Lake Namakan is located in the north on the border of Ontario, in St. Louis County.
