Water News:
The Freshwater Society is among those sponsoring an important public event on water resource issues Monday evening, February 22.
Robert Glennon, Professor of Law and Public Policy in the Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona and author of Water Follies and Unquenchable: America’s Water Crisis and What to Do About It, shares his insights on sustainability of our current water use. The evening will also feature a Minnesota panel of water resource experts.
Says Glennon: “Our water resources are threatened by unsustainable use in many regions of the United States including Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes. A crisis is coming to America: We’re running out of water.”
The event, free and open to the public, will run from 7-9 p.m. at the University of Minnesota St. Paul Student Center Theater. To register, go to the Freshwater Society's web site.
