Chisago County Leads the Way on Unneeded Drug Collection

With prescription and over-the-counter drugs showing up in the state's water and fish -- and humans -- there's rising pressure to stop flushing them away or tossing them in the trash. A bill at the Legislature would press drugmakers to fund local collection programs like Chisago County's. No state has such a program yet, but some, including Washington, Oregon and Maine, are considering it.
